The Film, Television, & Electronic Media Certificate of Achievement Program prepares students to enter broadcasting, cable, online media, and related industries. Students can pursue degrees in the field of mass or electronic communication for work in audio and video production, radio and television, cable television and media departments of companies and government agencies. This program prepares students for entry-level jobs and to enter a two-year degree program for additional study.

Program Proposal Attributes
- Certificate of Achievement: 16 or greater semester (or 24 or greater quarter) units (C)
The Film, Television and Electronic Media Certificate of Achievement emphasizes an introduction to production techniques for film, television and emerging electronic media production. Students will use equipment and software to produce practical projects and learn to resolve real world production challenges in a professional environment. The certificate program will offer a strong foundation in the language, culture, and aesthetics of digital media production. The program objectives fall into two large categories: 1) develop the skills and knowledge necessary for an entry level position in media; 2) develop the critical thinking skills necessary to give, receive and apply constructive feedback on facets of the production process and product.
