Program Goal
This certificate program presents an introduction to the administration of justice in the United States: its history, philosophy, sub-systems, and the roles of its members and their relationships. It also introduces theories of crime, punishment, and rehabilitation, examining the nature of the correctional system and the aims and objectives of all aspects of corrections, including probation, institutional programming, services, and supervision of inmates.
