Catalog Description

The growing need for skilled cyber security professionals provides exciting and excellent employment opportunities in any business/technological domain. CyberSecurity as a whole focuses on many practical security skills to support all industries by implementing and supporting regulations regarding data privacy,business continuity and disaster recovery, security analysis of current enterprise environment and reporting, and preventative measures and precautions.  The Cyber Security Practitioner Degree/certificate prepares students for entry-level and middle-skill employment as an information security practitioner/analyst and for industry standard certification exams. It could be considered an up-skill for working IT professionals to further advance in their careers. Prospectivestudents do not need any previous technical skills beyond a working functional knowledge of computer use. We will utilize Kali Linux and other offensive industry tools, to analyze a target and through professional best practices,develop and implement a defensive strategy to safeguard the enterprise network,data, and end points against attacks.
