At the 2017-18 Agriculture Advisory Committee meeting it was brought to the department’s attention of anew skill that is increasingly required for individuals employed in the agriculture repair industry. It was stated that MJC does an excellent job of training incoming employees in the field of repair but that the committee felt the addition of developing skills in the field of welding as related to repair would greatly increase the skills base needed for today’s agriculture equipment repair technician. This proposed program strives to meet this need.
