Fast Track Vocational Nursing

The Vocational Nursing program offers certificates for students seeking entry level employment in the nursing profession and prepares students to successfully pass state board and national exams. As required by California State Credentialing requirements all courses (general education and nursing) must be passed with a “C” or better.
This program will accept 15 students per year with a goal to graduate 15 students per year. The first graduating class will be 3 semesters (fall, summer, and spring) after program start.
Program Proposal Attributes
- Certificate of Achievement: 16 or greater semester (or 24 or greater quarter) units (C)
Palo Verde College offers a Vocational Nursing (VN) program accredited by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT).
Students who successfully complete the VN program qualify to take the National Council Licensure Examination for practical/vocational nurses (NCLEX-PN).
