This program includes foundational science, math, and design courses required for pursing studies in engineering or engineering technology. Upon completion of this certificate students are prepared to follow career pathways in engineering, engineering technology, or industrial technology.

Program Proposal Attributes
- Certificate of Achievement: 16 or greater semester (or 24 or greater quarter) units (C)
- Upon successful completion of the program the student will be able to solve technical engineering problems by applying design and engineering process methodologies.
- Upon successful completion of the program the student will be able to demonstrate an ability to apply a knowledge of mathematics, science,engineering, and technology to engineering technology problems.
- Upon successful completion of the program the student will be able to communicate engineering design solutions effectively through individual and cooperative group efforts including speaking, writing,presentation, and the use of various design graphics and technical software.
- Upon successful completion of the program the student will be able to demonstrate an ability to function effectively as a member of a technical team.
