Coursework aligns with industry standards and prepares learners to enter the work environment with the fundamentals of automotive transmission and drive train systems dealing with maintenance of the modern automobile.

Program Requirements Narrative

This program is designed to allow students to become familiar with automotive and manual transmissions, drive axles, and drive train systems for entering the work environment with basic skills. Emphasis in course is on satisfactory understanding of theoretical and practical automotive concepts regarding manual and automatic transmissions, including a foundational understanding of drive train systems within the repair, diagnosis, and service of automobiles. Students must earn a C or higher in each course to earn the certificate of achievement.
