Catalog Description

The Radio/Television Performance Certificate of Achievement is designed to teach the fundamental knowledge and skills needed for today’s “On- Air” performer in Broadcast, Cable, Web, and other forms of digital media. Students prepare for performing in these productions either independently or as part of a cast.  The Certificate of Achievement will prepare students for career advancement in this field.  Employment and internship opportunities include announcers, reporters, correspondents, radio hosts and contributors, and podcast talent. There are no material fees in the courses associated with this program.

Program Requirements Narrative

There are no requested faculty or facilities for this program, as the program already exists and is just being modified. The program serves to meet the labor market and educational needs of students and professionals seeking employment in the Radio/Television and digital media industries. Our program is vetted by an annual Advisory Board comprising experts in the field of radio/television, film, and other digital media production fields which allow us to tap into the needs of the LA Basin community labor force, and align our program courses to sync with the industry needs.
