The Fashion RetailingFundamentals Online certificate offers coursework to provide students with foundationalknowledge of the fashion industry. The courses emphasize the business offashion, fashion retailing, fashion buying and merchandise math concepts, andfashion branding targeting specific markets thereby providingstudents with business and management tools that will increase their practicalunderstanding of fashion merchandising and marketing. Students will be exposedto projects and industry scenario simulations that will enhance theirmerchandising and management career potential.

Fashion Retailing Online certificate enables students toearn a certificate focusing on coursework that will provide students with thecore essential knowledge needed for the industry. This is ideal for studentswho desire the accessibility of an online certificate. This is an opportunityto increase enrollment in the Fashion program from online certificate students.

This online certificate is appropriate for studentswho will gain foundational knowledge and skills needed for a career in fashion retailingand merchandising. Upon completion of the courses, students will be preparedfor entry-level employment in fashion retail and e-Commerce. Example of entrylevel positions include assistant managers, keyholders, assistant buyers, eCommercecoordinator, social media coordinator and other related fashion retailingmerchandising related employment opportunities.
