Graduates of this certificate will be prepared for employment as an assistant or head coach for youth athletes and teams in a variety of settings including schools, recreation programs, club athletic programs and more. 

Program Outcomes:

OUTCOME 1:

Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared for employment as an assistant coach or head coach and demonstrate safe training methods and effective preparation of individual athletes for competition.

ASSESSMENT 1:

Students will demonstrate and teach safe and effective training and preparation skills and techniques associated with the sport in their area of specialization to students with a variety of skill levels.    

OUTCOME 2:

Students will be familiar with techniques for motivating athletes and team performance.
