The Real Estate Broker Certificate is designed to provide students with the required competencies to enter careers as a real estate broker. This program is intended to prepare students for the California Department of Real Estate (DRE) license exam. The applicant must complete five (5) required core courses and three (3) additional elective courses. This Real Estate Broker Certificate is a low-unit, local certificate that elevates a current Real Estate Broker Skill Award to a Certificate of Achievement.
Student Learning Outcome
Upon completion of this program, students will:
- Meet their career preparation goals as well as qualify for a state licensing exam to become a Real Estate Broker.
It is estimated that 20 students annually will complete the Real Estate Broker Certificate of Achievement.

The courses in the Real Estate Broker Certificate are designed for student success, the primary goal of Citrus College. . Success is accomplished through a collaborative effort to achieve learning that actively engages students, offers transfer opportunities to four-year colleges, and opens the door for a variety of career opportunities. The Real Estate Broker Certificate/Program fits into this student success goal because it will open the door for Citrus College students to pursue an exciting career as a real estate broker in the growing real estate industry.
