  • Certificate of Achievement: 8 to fewer than 16 semester (or 12 to fewer than 24 quarter) units (B)
Program Goal

The goal of this proposed program is to meet the needs of the local agriculture fabrication sector of the area job market as expressed by the Agriculture Welding Advisory Committee at its2017-18 school year meeting.  The local representatives noted that MJC already has the classes necessary to train students to meet industry needs but those classes need to be aligned into a comprehensive program that a student can follow. The proposed certificate takes the classes already offered at MJC and systematizes them into a comprehensive and logical sequence. Students who choose to enter this pathway will gain the skills needed for entry and success in the agriculture fabrication industry in the local job sector.   A successful student finishing the Agriculture Welding Fabrication certificate will have demonstrated mastery of industry recognized skills necessary for entry-level employment and success in the students chosen profession.
