Catalog Description

The Las Positas Computer Network Technology program offers courses that lead to a Certificate of Achievement in Cyber Security. The certificate prepares students for direct job entry covering a wide array of professions such as Cyber Security Engineer, Security Administrator as well as Security Architect.  This program also prepares the student for the fast paced changes in Cyber Security technologies as they emerge in the industry to assure a well prepared graduate for the market place.

Program Goal

The CyberSecurity Certificate of Achievement is designed to prepare the students to enter the workforce prepared with the knowledge they need to acquire an entry level cyber-security position. This program prepares students in analytical thinking, critical analysis, group collaboration, effective communication and the necessary skills to analyze and solve computer network security issues to help protect computers and computer networks using multiple operating systems.
