This program was based largely on the successful program developed at Santa Monica College and replicated at 18 additional LA community colleges. With the guidance of our advisory board, the program is not exclusively designed to support Amazon Web Services (AWS), however, and is designed to be adaptable with other cloud vendors as well. This should give students and faculty greater flexibility with the program, while still allowing us to use AWS tools to support instruction. Currently, there are 9 of 17 SF Bay Area colleges that will offer this program within the next year. Las Positas College is the ONLY east bay college to offer this program. https://patch.com/california/livermore/amazon-bay-area-colleges-join-offer-cloud-computing-education https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/publicsector/aws-educate-collaborates-with-bay-area-consortium-on-cloud-curriculum/ https://campustechnology.com/articles/2019/09/18/aws-launches-bay-area-consortium-for-cloud-computing.aspx
