Certificate of Achievement Automotive Technology – Honda, Professional Automotive Career Training (PACT)

The Certificate of Achievement Automotive Technology – Honda, Professional Automotive Career Training (PACT) prepares students to enter the workforce as entry level Honda and Acura technicians in dealerships nationwide. After program completion, the student will also receive a nationally recognized certification from American Honda that indicates the completion of standardized curriculum delivered at all PACT schools across the nation.

The Mission of the Butte-Glenn Community College District is to “provide quality education, services and workforce training to students who aspire to become productive members of adverse, sustainable and global society. The PACT Program is embedded into the Butte College Automotive program where the students attend the same sections as the students attending our core program. As the PACT student, they will complete the enhanced “Individualized Skills Training” Honda curriculum along with National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation Program (NATEF) standards.

In addition to fulfilling   requirements from American Honda and Butte College Automotive, students will meet the following certification requirements:

·       SP2 Hazmat and Safety Certified

·       USEPA Section 609 Refrigerant Handling and Service Practices Certified

·       Two ASE Certifications need to be passed

·       All prerequisite testing must be completed for the California State Smog Exam

Upon successful completion of the program,students will be able to:

·       Explain the principles of operation and maintenance required to repair all systems of Honda and Acura automobiles.

·       Safely and correctly maintain, diagnose and repair specific areas of Honda and Acura automobiles. 

The PACT Program is embedded into the Butte College Automotive program where the students attend the same sections as the students attending our core program.As the PACT student, they will complete the enhanced “Individualized Skills Training” Honda curriculum along with National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation Program (NATEF) standards.
