The International Business Management Associate in Science Degree is designed to prepare students for meaningful employment in organizations with an international footprint, to include skills and abilities in importing, exporting, and international marketing and management functions. Studies in international business focus on how different cultures affect the political, economic, and social aspects of doing business internationally. This degree requires a minimum total of 24-27 units in the major, in addition to other degree requirements.

Program Goal

The International Business Management Associate in Science Degree is designed to meet occupational and transfer education goals by preparing students for careers in global business operations, international trade, supply chain coordination, import/export management, and cross-cultural business environments. The program develops practical and transferable skills in international business strategy, operations management, marketing, communication, finance, project management, and global commerce aligned with current workforce needs throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties. According to the Orange County Center of Excellence Labor Market Analysis, there are projected to be more than 8,800 annual openings in related management occupations within the region, with strong employer demand for skills such as operations management, leadership, communication, finance, marketing, project management, and global business coordination. The program also supports lifelong learning and transfer preparation for students pursuing continued education in international business, business administration, global studies, and related disciplines.
