Course Report

Program Requirements Narrative

This program is intended for transfer and aligns with professional and non-professional established degree programs taught at both CSU and UC institutions.

At Santa Rosa Junior College, faculty members with discipline expertise develop all certificates and majors.  For AA-T and AS-T degrees, faculty members with appropriate expertise determine which courses align with the C-ID descriptors.  The Supervising Administrator(s) then review the application to assure that it aligns with Chancellor’s Office criteria for approval and SRJC guidelines for financial feasibility and community need. The Majors & Certificate Review Committee reviews the application and suggests any changes to assure that all guidelines have been observed.  The item is then placed on the Curriculum Review Committee agenda for approval, and when approved, is submitted for approval by the Board of Trustees.

Include any other information you would like to share.

SRJC does not currently have any similar programs in place.

Please list similar programs at other colleges in the service area which may be impacted, including the name of the college, the name of the program that may be impacted, the name of the person you contacted and the outcome of that contact.

College of Marin was contacted: Pete Levelle (SRJC program coordinator) emailed Lauren Servais (Dean of Arts & Humanities at College of Marin) on 10.7.24, explaining that SRJC is reestablishing a revised Architecture AS (program plan was attached). This program historically co-existed with College of Marin's. Lauren responded same day that she would review and reach back out any questions. No questions were received (email documentation available if needed).

Mendocino College and Napa Valley College do not have a similar program.
