Safety in the electrical industry is provided through several industry standards organizations, which include OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, and NEC.  Examples where these are utilized are delivered below.  An Electrical Safety Certificate serves a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of individuals working with or around electrical systems. The following information is a breakdown of the purposes and learning outcomes of the Electrical Safety Certificate:

1. Workforce Preparation: To equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to work safely with electrical systems in various industries. The learning outcome will be an understanding of electrical hazards and risk mitigation strategies, proficiency in electrical safety regulations and standards, with the ability to identify and respond to electrical emergencies.

2. Transfer Preparation: To prepare individuals for seamless transitions between different roles, industries, or locations, ensuring consistent adherence to electrical safety principles. The learning outcomes of adaptability to diverse electrical systems and environments provide individuals with knowledge transferable across industries and settings.

3. Basic Skills: To instill fundamental skills essential for the safe handling and operation of electrical equipment. Gaining learning outcomes of competence in electrical equipment inspection and maintenance. Proficiency in using personal protective equipment (PPE) effectively.
