- The Survey of International Business certificate provides you with an introduction to the terminology, skills and functional areas of global trade. You will learn how culture impacts business along with practical hands on skills that can be applied to all fields of business. The courses required for this certificate are the core requirements for the International Business Certificate and AA Degree.
20-25 students per semester are estimated to earn this certificate.

- Certificate of Achievement: 8 to fewer than 16 semester (or 12 to fewer than 24 quarter) units (B)
Goals – 1. To provide students with the foundational knowledge and terminology of International Business and Culture.
Objectives: 1. To introduce students to the fundamentals of business and business ownership. 2. To introduce the fundamental terminology and functional areas of international business. 3. To expose students to the implications of culture and traditions on business.

The Survey of International Business certificate is designed to introduce students to the fundamental terminology and skills of business and global trade while also exposing them to the impacts of culture and tradition on global business transactions. This certificate fulfills the core requirements of the International Business Certificate and AA Degree while also providing students majoring in other disciplines with the global knowledge needed to expand their college and career opportunities. This certificate program is ideal for dual enrollment student completion as well as for student studying other areas of business wanting a global perspective and potential career advancement.

New Program
The Survey of International Business Certificate is part of the Global Business and Entrepreneurship (GBE) department and is an integral part of the CE/CTE interdisciplinary programs to up skill workforce global business professionals.
There are no other low unit/stackable certificates like the Survey of International Business available at any other OC community college. This program is being targeted to dual enrollment students as well as student majoring in other areas of business who are interested in having a global perspective that can increase their on the job skills as well as career advancement opportunities.
