To prepare students for entry-level positions in social media planning and buying. Students will execute practical experience in social media planning and buying processes through hands-on projects and case studies. Students will utilize social media analytics tools to assess and optimize marketing campaigns. To foster critical thinking, creativity, and ethical decision-making in social media marketing practices. Students will generate innovative ideas and solutions for resolving challenges in social media planning and buying. To support students in developing effective communication and collaboration skills for professional success. Students will identify social media marketing insights effectively through written reports, presentations, and digital media. By achieving these goals and objectives, students completing the certificate in social media marketing will demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to excel in entry-level roles in the dynamic field of social media planning and buying.

BUSAD 162 - Principles of Marketing (3 units). This foundational course introduces students to key marketing concepts, including consumer behavior, market research, product development, pricing strategies, and promotional planning. It establishes the essential framework for understanding marketing as a business function.
BUSAD 163 - Social Media Marketing I (3 units). Students learn the basics of using social media platforms to build brand awareness, create engaging content, and connect with target audiences. The course also explores strategies for driving customer engagement and loyalty.
BUSAD 165 - Social Media Marketing II (3 units):This advanced course builds on Social Media Marketing I, emphasizing analytics, campaign optimization, and the development of comprehensive social media strategies. Topics include advanced advertising techniques, influencer marketing, and maximizing return on investment (ROI).
BUSAD 166 - Advertising (3 units). This course examines the principles and practices of advertising, including the creation of compelling ad campaigns, media planning, and the integration of digital and traditional advertising channels.
