Hotel Management Certificate of Achievement
New Program
Hospitality (130700)
08/01/26
The Hotel Management Certificate of Achievement prepares the student to manage places of lodging such as hotels, motels and inns. Includes supplies purchasing and control, facilities design and planning, personnel and financial management, marketing, events management, and front desk operations. Students will also be introduced to local, state, and federal law for the running of hotel businesses. Students will develop an understanding of the various departments within hotel facilities and how those departments must be maintained for optimum service output.
To Achieve the Certificate of Achievement: Upon completion of the required courses with at least a ‘C’ or ‘P’ grade in each course, the student will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement.
The Hotel Management Certificate of Achievement is projected to enroll approximately 10 to 20 students in its first full academic year, with expected growth as awareness increases through outreach and advising. Once fully established, the program anticipates 15 to 20 annual completers. These projections are based on current enrollment patterns in the Culinary Arts and Food Service Management programs, student interest in hospitality careers, and advisory feedback indicating strong employer demand for trained supervisors and managers in the local industry.
