The Bookkeeping program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and growth in the accounting profession. Using the language of business, accountants assemble and analyze, process, and communicate essential information about financial operations.To Achieve the Certificate of Achievement:Upon completion of the following courses with at least a ‘C’ grade in each course, the student will be awarded a Bookkeeping Certificate of Achievement.

Program Proposal Attributes
- Certificate of Achievement: 16 or greater semester (or 24 or greater quarter) units (C)
1. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to analyze and record financial transactions in a manual or computerized general ledger system.
2. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to prepare financial statements, analyze and prepare financial information for management decision-making.
3. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be able to illustrate effective communication within a business environment.

Course Report
The courses in the certificate are the core course for the AA degree without the General education. Students can acquire the certificate to have job skills to begin work while continuing his or her education towards the AA degree.
