Catalog Description

The Certificate and AS Degree in Engineering Technology - CAD and Design Drafting provides training to work in industry as a CAD designer, engineering drafter or drafting technician or technologist. The program includes instruction in both 2-D and 3-D computer aided drafting and design software such as AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS. Many students take advantage of the value of this certificate by working in industry while continuing their education leading to an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree. Motivated students can complete the required courses in one year by taking courses during the winter and summer sessions and online in addition to the traditional fall and winter sessions. Students must complete 21 units of required core coursework.
