Catalog Description

This certificate wil prepare students to work as bookkeepers, general accounting clerks, or payroll clercks. The graduates will have the skills to maintain payroll, recievable, cash, and payable by journalizing, posting, and transaction recording and reporting. 

Enrollment Completer Projections

As the certificate proposed is a new certificate, no integrated data regarding the projected numbers of graduates is currently available. However, based on the high demand for our currently offered CAOT 78, CAOT 82, and CAOT 85, we project to have a minimum of 17 completers per each academic year.

Program Requirements Narrative

The Computerized Bookkeeping program consists of 6 courses to accumulate the total certificate units. These courses will prepare completes on how  to function as general bookkeeping professionals working in an accounting setting. Completers will perform different aspects of the accounting cycle including journalizing, posting, trial balance adjustments, income statement, cash flow analysis and balance sheet analysis. Other tasks include payroll, inventory evaluation, payable and receivables.
