| The Certificate of Achievement in Esports Entrepreneurship and Live Production introduces students to the fundamentals of the esports industry and provides a pathway into related fields of study. Students begin with prerequisite courses in esports, where they develop foundational knowledge of the industry along with hands-on experience in live streaming software, visual storytelling, shout casting, and audio/scene production. Students gain practical experience with live streaming software, visual storytelling, shout casting, and audio mixing, while also exploring the history, career pathways, and business aspects of esports. Coursework emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and foundational technical skills, preparing students to further study or entry level opportunities in digital content creation and esports related media. After completing the esports prerequisites, students select coursework from one of three disciplinary areas: Digital Arts and Intermediate Design; Business; or Broadcasting. Students deepen their skills in a chosen focus. This flexible, interdisciplinary approach allows students to tailor their learning towards their established majors. This program is designed as a entry point into further academic study or workforce preparation, offering students the technical and collaborative skills needed to pursue esports related opportunities in California's growing digital entertainment sector. |
| Requirements for Certificate of Achievement a) Complete Major Field courses and one of the three Specializations. b) Complete at least six units at Ohlone College. c) Maintain a 2.0 grade point average in Major Field and Specialization courses. |
