The Automation Certificate of Achievement is designed to prepare students for entry-level technical work utilizing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Industrial Controls.

Program Goal

The Automation Certificate of Achievement is designed to provide students with practical, career-oriented skills for technical environments using current industry technologies. Students receive hands-on experience in the fundamentals of AutoCAD, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Industrial Controls in addition to the basics of robotics.  

The Certificate of Achievement is a Career and Technical Education (CTE) certificate designed for students who are interested in engineering but may lack the mathematical fortitude. It is also aimed to serve those in the community who work in technical industries looking to learn new skills. 

Automation Certificate of Achievement Goals:

1 – Provide a quality education that will prepare sutdents to become entry level PLC and industrial control technicians.

2 – Prepare students to become successfully employed in the tech and manufacturing industry.

3 – Instruct students to become technicians to work with engineers and designers.

The required core courses in this program may be completed quickly and in two sequential semesters. Courses PLCs I and II are to be taken in sequential eight-week courses in one semester.
