Include any other information you would like to share.
This Certificate has been developed to provide students the opportunity to succeed and complete a certificate in a shorter time frame. This was developed as part of a partnership with local High Schools to provide those students the opportunity to attain a certificate before graduating High school. The Classes will rotate online and face to face. As part of the K-12 / K-14 initiative, we are working with High schools and Alameda Department of Education for the High schools to develop support classes for High school students taking Beginning Digital Photography CE Community college classes.
Please list similar programs at other colleges in the service area which may be impacted, including the name of the college, the name of the program that may be impacted, the name of the person you contacted and the outcome of that contact.
Laney has a degree and larger certificates in Photography, but the focus of this program is different. BCC students will learn printing techniques and photography principles for direct application in retail photography. We are working with Michael Mejia Chair of Photography at Laney and keeping him informed on moving classes online and consulting on how we can further partner in the future.
