Goal of Program

CTE

Include any other information you would like to share.
The Labor and Community Organizing Certificate of Achievement replaces several smaller, locally approved certificates that have already been deactivated by the College.
Please list similar programs at other colleges in the service area which may be impacted, including the name of the college, the name of the program that may be impacted, the name of the person you contacted and the outcome of that contact.
San Francisco State University offers a BA degree in Labor Studies. Our program compliments theirs and we are working on an articulation agreement with them. There are several online and in person organizing training programs, none of which are accredited, and are normally only available to members of specific organizations. Laney College offers certificates in Labor Studies. However they are in Oakland and serve the East Bay. City College San Francisco serves a separate urban population.
