The digital art and design technology program prepares students for employment in the Arts, Media, and Entertainment industries focusing on animation, 3D modeling, VFX, and game development. Upon completing these certificate requirements, students gain proficiency in concept design for digital art and design. This certificate includes exploration of character design, environment design, and storyboarding. Competencies will be assessed by portfolios and demonstration of projects.
Anticipated enrollment completer projection is 15

Program Goals: This certificate is one in a set of 5 stackable certificates that will prepare students for a career in Digital Art and Design Technology. The stackable certificates will feed into an AS in Digital Art & Design Technology. This particular certificate focuses on the Concept Design track. LMI data supports the creation of this certificate and demand for those qualified for the field.
Program Objectives: Concept Design is an early stage in the design process that involves the broad outlines of the design and includes topics such as Character Design, Environment Design, and Storyboarding. This program will help students prepare for positions in industry.
