Catalog Description
The Computer Information Systems Associate in Arts is designed to prepare students in a wide range of information systems skills applicable to the "real business world", such as web development, systems analysis and design, programming, data communication and networking, communication technologies, and internet protocols. These skills will prepare a student to enter into or advance within career patterns of the computer information systems industry. The degree is designed to prepare students for the employment market at the entry level in computer and information technology, provide a foundation for those students who plan to complete a four-year program in computer information systems or related fields of study, and upgrade current skills to facilitate assumption of assume greater responsibility in a current employment position.
