The Certificate of Achievement in Artificial Intelligence offers a foundational understanding of AI principles, tools, and applications. Through a comprehensive curriculum spanning machine learning, data science, neural networks, and AI ethics, students gain the skills to analyze and implement AI models in diverse fields such as healthcare, business, and technology. This program covers programming fundamentals, data processing, model development, and deployment, with a focus on practical, hands-on experience. Students will be prepared for entry-level roles in AI or to transfer to a four-year degree program for further study in AI and data science.

The Artificial Intelligence Certificate of Achievement program is designed to prepare students for careers in artificial intelligence addressing the growing demand for professionals with expertise in this field. This program equips students with the skills, knowledge, and practical experience needed to succeed in the rapidly growing field of artificial intelligence, preparing them for both immediate employment and continued academic study.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate knowledge of core artificial intelligence (AI) principles, including machine learning, data processing, and neural networks, to solve real-world problems across various domains.
- Use programming skills and tools to design, build, and test basic machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) models, such as classification and regression models, using popular AI frameworks.
- Use artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and applications to perform data collection, cleaning, and exploratory data analysis, and effectively communicate findings through data visualization techniques to support AI model development.
- Identify and discuss ethical issues in artificial intelligence (AI), including privacy, bias, and transparency, and understand the implications of AI applications on society and diverse communities.

- Provide students with a comprehensive understanding of artificial intelligence principles, tools, and applications across various industries.
- Equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to enter entry-level AI roles or transfer to a four-year degree program in AI or data science.
- Offer hands-on experience in programming, machine learning, and AI model development to solve real-world problems.
- Train students to apply AI techniques in healthcare, business, finance, cybersecurity, and technology sectors.
- Emphasize the importance of AI ethics, responsible AI usage, and data privacy regulations in AI applications.
Objectives
- Explain machine learning, neural networks, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP) and their applications.
- Use Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other AI frameworks to develop and deploy AI models.
- Train, test, and optimize supervised and unsupervised learning models using real-world datasets.
- Use AI techniques to address challenges in healthcare, business, cybersecurity, and automation.
- Analyze bias in AI models, data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and the societal impact of AI.
- Build a portfolio of AI projects and gain the qualifications needed for entry-level AI roles or transfer to a four-year program.
