Given the high demand for healthcare support roles in the South Central Coast region and the appeal of an accelerated, 12-unit format, the following conservative projections are made:
Year 1:
Enrollment: 20 students
Completers: 14 students Assumption: The first year will attract an initial cohort of current Public Health and Kinesiology students looking to add a vocational credential. A completion rate of 70% is projected, accounting for the initial adjustment to the accelerated 8-week session format and typical attrition in new vocational programs.
Year 2:
Enrollment: 25 students
Completers: 19 students Assumption: In the second year, enrollment is expected to increase as the program gains visibility among working professionals seeking a career pivot into the healthcare sector. With refined student support systems for the accelerated model, the completion rate is projected to rise to 76%.
Year 3:
Enrollment: 30 students
Completers: 24 students Assumption: By the third year, the program is expected to reach maturity. Steady growth will be supported by regional industry partnerships and the success of early cohorts entering the workforce. A completion rate of 80% is anticipated as the program solidifies its reputation as a primary bridge to health coaching industry certifications.
Annual Projections Moving Forward:
Enrollment: 30–35 students annually
Completers: 25–30 students annually Assumption: Enrollment is expected to stabilize as the certificate becomes a staple offering for both traditional students and continuing education learners. Completion rates are projected to remain consistent at 83–85%, assuming sustained regional demand for preventive health specialists and continuous curriculum alignment with industry standards.
