This certificate prepares students for entry-level and emerging workforce roles in educational

technology, instructional support, digital learning, and AI‑enhanced educational services.

Students develop practical, career‑ready skills in AI literacy, instructional design, learning

technologies, accessibility and Universal Design for Learning (UDL), digital content creation,

workflow automation, and educational media applications. The program emphasizes applied

competencies needed across K–12 schools, higher education institutions, nonprofit

organizations, corporate training environments, and workforce development programs. Students

gain experience creating AI‑supported instructional materials, supporting classroom and

learning management system (LMS) technologies, developing accessible digital content, and

responsibly integrating artificial intelligence tools into teaching and learning environments. This

certificate also provides strong lower‑division preparation for students planning to pursue

advanced study in Educational Technology, Learning Design and Technology, Instructional

Design, or related fields.

The Educational Technology and Applied Artificial Intelligence Certificate prepares students for entry-level employment supporting digital learning environments and instructional technology integration across educational and workforce training settings. The program develops practical competencies in educational technology systems, artificial intelligence literacy, accessibility and Universal Design for Learning (UDL), digital content development, and instructional media used in contemporary learning environments.

Students learn to responsibly integrate AI-supported tools into teaching and learning workflows, support learning management systems, and develop accessible digital learning materials. The program emphasizes applied technology skills that support educators, trainers, and organizations implementing digital learning systems. The certificate also establishes a foundation for continued study in Educational Technology, Learning Design and Technology, Instructional Design, or related fields.
