The Business Administration Certificate is designed to provide students with foundational knowledge and practical skills essential for success in today’s dynamic business environment. This program supports the institution’s mission to promote workforce readiness, economic mobility, and community engagement by preparing students for immediate employment and career advancement in a wide range of business settings.

Program Proposal Attributes
- Certificate of Achievement: 16 or greater semester (or 24 or greater quarter) units (C)
This program prepares students for:
- Workforce Preparation: Equip students with foundational and advanced business competencies to enter employment or support new venture creation in small business, startups, and service-based enterprises.
- Transferable Skills Development: Provide students with real-world skills in critical thinking, communication, finance, and marketing applicable across multiple industries.
- Civic and Economic Engagement: Empower students from diverse backgrounds to contribute to the local economy through sustainable business practices.
- Lifelong Learning: Foster a mindset of continuous learning through exposure to business trends, technology, and evolving market demands.
Student Learning Outcomes:
1. Apply fundamental business principles in management, finance, and accounting to real-world business scenarios.
2.Prepare and interpret basic financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
3.Demonstrate effective business communication skills through professional written, oral, and digital formats.
4.Explain key management functions (planning, organizing, leading, and controlling).

Lassen Community College provides programs for all pursuing higher education goals.
