Program Goal

The Media Arts: Web Design Certificate of Achievement is a CTE program that provides students with substantial foundational coursework, emphasizing basic HTML, CSS, User Interface Design, Responsive Web Design, and image editing skills that are needed in careers in web design and development.

This program is designed for students who desire specific training to meet an immediate occupational or personal goal, or for promotion or lateral transfer within their existing field of employment. To qualify for a Certificate of Achievement, a student must complete all courses required for the Certificate with an overall grade point average of 2.0. It is designed to support students who want to develop the creative and technical skills required for web design professionals.

Web development is becoming one of the hottest careers for developers who want to start earning a significantly higher salary in a shorter period. Companies are expecting students to graduate with knowledge not just to write code, but to design User Interfaces.
