Catalog Description

This degree will prepare students to enter a career in computer programming by providing a strong foundation in computer science principles, software development, and problem-solving techniques. Students will gain hands-on experience in programming, learn how to design efficient algorithms and data structures, understand the fundamentals of computer architecture, and develop proficiency in SQL for managing and querying databases. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application, students will be equipped to pursue entry-level programming positions. This program emphasizes critical thinking, logical reasoning, and real-world coding practices essential for success in today’s technology-driven job market.

Enrollment Completer Projections

This degree was previously a concentration in CIS and is now its own degree.  One of the reasons for turning concentrations into certificates and degree's is so we can better track completions. We estimate about 40 per year.
