Civil Engineering Technology Level 2

The Civil Engineering Technology program prepares the students for an entry-level career working as a  technician under the direction of civil engineers, surveyors, contractors and architects. The program concentrates on the planning, design and construction of infrastructures and facilities through the use of problem-based learning, project-based learning and standard industry tools and emerging technologies. Students in this program become qualified for technologist positions including positions as civil engineering technicians, CAD engineers, structural technicians, field technicians,  surveying and mapping technicians.

The Civil Engineering Technology, Level 2 certificate includes 5 courses [18 units] and has the Civil Engineering Technology, Level 1 certificate as a prerequisite.

Santa Ana College offers a 30 unit Civil Engineering Technology certificate. That certificate program does not have a prerequisite certificate, and does not incorporate all of the required courses in the proposed Civil Engineering Technology Level 2 Certificate.
