The degree in AgricultureTechnology prepares students for positions that require the use of currenttechnology in Agriculture. Students will learn real world application forGPS/GIS, precision farming equipment, drones and related data collection software.Additionally students will explore fundamental agronomic relationships betweenland and livestock and integrate those with advanced agriculture technology.These students will also recognize how agriculture technology applicationspositively impact the economic stability of agriculture enterprises.

 

UponCompletion of this degree, students will be able to:

1.Identify applicable practices that reduce the impact of agriculture on naturalecosystems.

2.Demonstrate basic skills used in day to day precision farming operations suchas global positioning systems, data collection software and unmanned aerialvehicles.

3.Employ methods utilizing advanced agriculture technology to allow for a moreprofitable, efficient and safer agriculture business enterprise.

4. Model thoseattributes necessary for gainful employment in the field of agriculturetechnology.
