Course Report

Program Requirements Narrative

The use of drones in industry is growing rapidly, and there is need for a trained workforce to fill these needs. These workers need to know the technical requirements for drone usage, how to do proper project planning, and have at least a basic understanding of the field in which they will be working. Students completing this program will learn essential workplace skills, including project planning, as well as an introduction to a specific field in which drones will continue to play a larger role. This will help open up career opportunities for the students.

Goal of Program

CTE

Include any other information you would like to share.
The Drone Studies: Commercial Drone Certificate is only one class, CS 76.11, which maps directly to the standard FAA certification for drone pilots. The Drone Studies: Applied Drone Operation Certificate builds upon the current certificate by incorporating a drone projects class and one industry-specific course. This allows students to work on projects related to the specific discipline of interest.
