Catalog Description

The Certificate of Achievement in 21st Century Policing is awarded to students who complete a course of study that emphasizes transformational leadership, ethical behavior, and principled policing. Students will develop specialized knowledge and understanding that will enable them to practice fair and procedurally just policing and allow them to meet a wide variety of challenges and expectations placed on modern police officers.

Program Goal

The Certificate of Achievement in 21st Century Policing is a career technical education certificate designed to prepare students to work as a law enforcement officer in a modern law enforcement agency. Upon successful completion of the certificate program, the student will be prepared to perform the duties and responsibilities of a California peace officer utilizing transformational leadership, ethical behavior, and principled policing.
