Catalog Description

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program prepares students for entry-level positions in medical sonography through comprehensive training in abdominal, superficial structures, obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound. Through didactic instruction, laboratory training, and hands-on clinical experience, students gain the knowledge, technical skills, and critical thinking abilities required to perform diagnostic imaging across multiple specialties.  Graduates will be eligible to apply for ARRT  (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) and/or ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification exams (pending CAAHEP accreditation).
