The basic shop ironworkers apprenticeship certificate provides necessary basic foundational skills and knowledge to set an apprentice up for success as a shop ironworker. Lecture based basic classroom work leads to knowledge that is used for practical shop floor applications covered in hands on basic skills laboratories.

- Certificate of Achievement: 16 or greater semester (or 24 or greater quarter) units (C)
The goal of this program is to provide basic skills and knowledge to an apprentice so that they may have
a long-term successful career as an ironworker. This program is intended to build basic foundational skills and knowledge that future ironworker programs will be built upon. The focus is on occupational needs of a shop ironworker.
