The Management and Supervision program is designed for entry-level positions and advancement opportunities and acquaints the student with the development processes of organizational policies and procedures and how they impact strategic business decisions. Students will gain knowledge that prepares them to facilitate the management of a diverse group of employees, conveys information to a diverse group of employees, assign tasks, monitor performance, provide constructive feedback, maintain budgets and delivery dates, and monitor production quality specifications.
Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the programs, students will be able to:
understand the roles of management and supervision in profit, non-profit, and government organizations.
development of team-building skills for diversity in different business sectors.
identify the benefits of meritorious and inclusive company culture and environment.
A Certificate of Achievement in Management and Supervision’s estimated enrollment projections will increase by 175 over a 3-year period as a result of demands by industry for general management skills. A corresponding increase in completion of the certificate of achievement will be 37.
There are 22 community colleges in the LA/OC region that issue awards related to business management with the highest three-year average awards issued by Cerritos College (369), Mt. San Antonio College (183), Coastline College (110), and Santa Ana (61). Cerritos College doubled its completion rate between 2016 and 2019 and Mt. San Antonio College has increased marginally between 2016 and 2019.

The Management and Supervision Program prepares students to obtain employment as a management trainee, supervision assistant, shift Leader / coordinator, entry-level production supervisor, team leader, and team leaders, first line managers and a wide range of other positions.
