This certificate is designed for individuals in career fields working with young children and families. It provides foundational knowledge about how children develop and learn; the role of the family in the child's care and education; and the impact of trauma on the child and the family.Students will also gain practical strategies for providing trauma informed care.

1. To increase students’ competency and effectiveness in working with children who are or have experienced trauma by providing a certificate linked to the needs of the industry.

Program Requirements Narrative
