This program will prepare individuals for entry-level employment opportunities as professional and competent Polysomnographic Technologists.

Program Proposal Attributes
- Certificate of Achievement: 16 or greater semester (or 24 or greater quarter) units (C)
The goal of the program which is offered 100% online is to meet the needs of health care employers and increase access to necessary training for individuals living in communities that lack educational resources and training programs in Polysomnography. The program will prepare students for entry-level employment as Polysomnographic Technologists.
The program is a CAAHEP-accredited Polysomnography Program. As such, the curriculum and instruction meets the requirements of that accrediting body and program completers are eligible to take the Polysomnography exam of the Board of Registration in Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) and The Medical Board of California Licensure exam.

Course Report
Students must secure an appropriate clinical site** prior to beginning the program, and must successfully complete 28.5 units of required coursework as set forth below:
**Note: Clinical sites may be identified using the listing of accredited labs provided by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine: https://sleepeducation.org/sleep-center/.
Following completion of the program, students must register and successfully pass the Board of Registration in Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) and The Medical Board of California Licensure exams to be qualified for employment as Polysomnographic Technologists.
