  1. This Yoga Teacher Training certification program prepares students to meet the requirements for Yoga Alliance to become a 200-hour registered yoga teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. Yoga Alliance sets forth widely recognized standards for yoga teachers and teacher-training programs, including the minimum number of hours of training in each of five areas: teaching methodology, techniques of teaching, anatomy and physiology, philosophy and lifestyle as well as a teaching practicum. This comprehensive and wisdom based program provides students with a broad background and practical experience to enhance their teaching skills and build confidence meeting the diverse needs of future students and populations. After students earn their status as registered yoga teachers they can apply for positions at yoga studios, health and fitness centers, country clubs, recreation districts, hospitals and health and wellness centers.


Program Outcomes:


Students who complete the Yoga Teacher program will be able to:


  • Design intelligently structured and sequenced yoga classes.
  • Demonstrate appropriate teaching methodologies and effective communication skills while leading a varied group of yoga participants.
  • Instruct appropriate progressions and regressions of yoga poses (asanas) to create a safe and effective multi-level class experience

  1. This Yoga Teacher Training certification program prepares students to meet the requirements for Yoga Alliance to become a 200-hour registered yoga teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. Yoga Alliance sets forth widely recognized educational standards for yoga teachers and teacher-training programs, including the minimum number of hours of training in each of five educational categorizes of study and practice. This comprehensive and wisdom based program provides students with a broad background and practical experience to enhance their teaching skills and build confidence meeting the diverse needs of future students and populations. After students earn their status as registered yoga teachers they can apply for positions at yoga studios, health and fitness centers, country clubs, recreation districts, hospitals and health and wellness centers.

The pre-defined curriculum and educational standards that meets the Yoga Alliance Standards for the 200 hour registered yoga teacher training certification includes the following competencies that will prepare the students for occupational opportunities:

Not sure if a Yoga trainer is equivalent to a fitness trainer so not sure how accurate the LMI is for this actual occupation.
