Program Goal

The Real Estate Salesperson Certificate of Achievement helps students to prepare for the California Salesperson licensing exam and enter the field of real estate.

**The Real Estate program has run successfully for a number of years at Lake Tahoe Community College as an Employable Skills Certificate. It is recommended by adjunct faculty to add RES-161 California Real Estate Salesperson Exam Prep Course (4 units) to the current Real Estate Employable Skills Certificate (12units), and change it to a Certificate of Achievement. Adding this course will better prepare students to pass the exam course required to enter the field. At16 units, the three-course requirement plus one elective course, will meet the threshold for a low-unit Certificate of Achievement.
