Catalog Description

The Animation Foundation Certificate of Achievement will provide students with a foundation in animation and visual storytelling. Upon completion of this certificate students will demonstrate a solid foundation in the traditional and digital skills and knowledge necessary for creative industries: design foundations, character ideation, 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics, and production. Students will gain a fundamental understanding of industry-standard software. The Animation Foundation Certificate of Achievement provides students with opportunities to develop work to include in professional portfolios, university-required portfolios, and develop skills for entry-level employment in the creative industries.

Program Goal

The Animation Foundation Certificate of Achievement will provide students with a foundation in animation and visual storytelling. Upon completion of this certificate students will demonstrate a solid foundation in traditional and digital animation skills including character ideation, animation, motion graphics, design, and production. This certificate is valuable to the student who plans to enter this field, as well as the student who is already working in the industry and wishes to update their skills.
