Catalog Description
The Theme Park Technology Specialist Certificate prepares the student for occupational competency working for theme parks as a technology specialist. Technology specialists perform maintenance, trouble-shooting, and repair of advanced theme park ride and entertainment technology, earn competitive salaries, and can work in theme parks across the world. This Certificate requires completion of 39-44 units of which 38 units are in required courses and the remaining 1-6 units must be chosen from the restricted electives below. All courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.

Program Goal
This program is one of only a handful in the country, and the only one in California that trains students to work in all facets of the entertainment industry. From designing and constructing to rigging, operating, repairing and maintaining rides, equipment and attractions you’ll gain hands-on experience working on real day to day operational productions. When you graduate, you’ll have the skills you need to work independently or as part of a creative team that produces and maintains live attractions, shows for concerts, theaters, rides, assorted theme parks venues and corporate events.
