Program Goal

The Automotive Collision Repair Program at Fresno City College is designed to help prepare students with an interest in the automotive repair field for a rewarding career in the Automotive Collision Repair Industry. The program offers beginning and advanced level courses in collision repair, plus a course focused solely on automotive refinishing.

The students receive both hands-on experiences working on vehicles in our lab, and the classroom instruction needed to perform high-quality safe repairs to collision-damaged vehicles. Instructions include how to read a written repair order, accessing OEM repair information, dent removal, vehicle panel alignment, identifying the types of vehicle construction materials, and the preparation for and application of automotive refinish materials.

Upon completion of the program, the student will have the skills needed to start their career as an Automotive Collision Repair or Refinish Technician. The students will also be rewarded with either an Associate in Science Degree, a Certificate of Achievement or a Certificate.
